Walgreens Deals 2/7-2/13

Please read previous post on Walgreens specific tips and tricks before attempting deals. Walgreens is one of the trickiest, yet most rewarding!

This weeks purchases:

Dove Men's Body Wash - $5.99

or $1.25 off from 1/31 SmartSource
Total after RR = FREE plus $1.50 overage in RR

Theraflu and Triaminic
Buy 2 for $10
Get $5 RR
Use (2) $2 off HERE and/or HERE and/or HERE
or $1.50 from 2/7 SmartSource
Total after RR = $.50 each

3 Musketeers Bars

Total after RR = $0.12 each!

Kotex Products
Buy 2 for $6

John Frieda Hair Care
Buy 3 for $15
Get $5 RR
Use (3) $2 off HERE
Total after RR = 3 for $4
(or if you were lucky, I printed $2.50 coupons on coupons.com a week ago)

Schick Quatro Disposable Razors - $5.99
Use $1 Walgreens Coupon (from February booklet, find them right by the weekly ads in store)
Stack with $3 off from 1/31 Smartsource
Total = $1.99
(personally, I would hold out for a better deal, I usually don't spend more than $1, if any at all, on razors. But if you need them, it's a pretty good deal.)

Remember, you can repeatedly go back and do these deals (just follow the rules HERE) over and over if you have multiple coupons. Pick a few things you need this week, and figure out the best way to roll your register rewards.

For example, buy Dove Men's Body Wash and 2 packages of Kotex - total after coupons is $9. Receive back a $6 RR and a $3 RR. Then, take your $6 RR and buy the Theraflu which after coupons is $6. Receive back a $5 RR. Then use the new $5 RR and buy the Men's Body Wash again, which is $4.50 and receive a $6 RR. Now you would still have your $3 RR and your $6 RR, which means you could use those to get the John Frieda Hair care and still get another $5 RR. And don't forget to throw in the 3 Musketeers bars on every transaction! Easy way to get the RR and you could give them away for Valentine's gifts!

I know, confusing. Just do it though! Tons of possibilities!

Remember to have one or two "filler" items with you at the checkout though. Look in their clearance section, they usually have pencils and stuff for 10cents or so, or near the register they have caramels for real cheap. Just having the extra item(s) so you are OVER your total coupons and have the same amount of products as you do coupons.

Walgreens Tips and Tricks

Alright, time to get down to business on how to maximize Walgreens sales and coupons. You might mess up a time or two in the beginning (I did), and it certainly is frustrating, but don't give up. It's the only way you'll learn, and you'll be happy you did!

Every week I typically have between $8-$12 Register Rewards to spend. So yes, you do have to spend the money up front once you decide to go for it, but after the first week, you can recycle your rewards every new week with the new sales. Some weeks you'll come out MAKING money with your total Register Rewards and others you might spend just a few dollars to get quite a few items.

Here are the most important things to know when using Register Rewards
  • You can not typically "roll" a reward for the same product. For example, you buy a shampoo for $3 and it gives you a $3 Reward, you cannot use that Reward to repurchase the shampoo again.
  • You cannot get two of the SAME Rewards in one transaction. For example, the same shampoo at $3, you cannot buy two shampoos and get two $3 rewards. You will only get one. (However, you can get multiple DIFFERENT rewards in one transaction.)
  • Your total before tax MUST be over the combined total of all your coupons. Sometimes you will have to get a filler item, but they usually have 15-35 cent items right at the register or go to their clearance section for a very cheap item.
  • You must have the same amount (or more) products as you do coupons. For instance, sometimes we "stack" coupons or have a coupon and a Register Reward for one product. In that case, you will also want to get a "filler" item.
I know it sounds overwhelming, but just try it. It will make more sense once you go!
